Safely Restarting Aviation - ACI and IATA Joint Approach
ACI and IATA have jointly produced this paper which lays out a pathway for restarting the aviation industry – it is a product of cooperation between airlines and airports to identify a roadmap for resuming operations which reassures the travelling public that health and safety remain the overall priorities.
It outlines principles to guide this process and includes consideration of measures that any new measures that may be introduced across the entire passenger journey should be aimed at minimizing the risk of transmission of COVID-19 at airports and onboard aircraft. Such measures should be globally-consistent and subject to continued review, improvement, and removal when no longer required, to ensure an even recovery.
