Description
This is the second in a series of quarterly webinars during which ACI World’s Director General Luis Felipe de Oliveira and Vice President for Economics Patrick Lucas will explore the state of the industry and the path to recovery following the severe downturn brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Key findings and policy considerations will also be presented from ACI’s new publications: Long Term Carbon Goal Study and Global Outlook of Airport Capital Expenditure: Meeting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and future air travel demand.
As the industry navigates the COVID-19 crisis, investment in airport infrastructure will be needed more than ever to accelerate recovery and stimulate economies. These investments must also strike a balance between a growing air transport sector with commitments to decarbonize the industry in support of the United Nations (UN) SDGs and other international targets.
The webinar will be moderated by ACI World’s Vice President for Marketing and Communications David Whitely.
ACI collects and analyses data from a significant sample of airports to create the world’s most comprehensive source for airport data.
